Beyoncé lidera as nomeações, oito, para os MTV Video Music Awards 2014
A cantora Beyoncé recebeu oito nomeações e é a favorita entre os concorrentes aos prémios do MTV Video Music Awards 2014.
Beyoncé disputa o principal prémio, de vídeo do ano, com Iggy Azalea feat. Charli xcx ("Fancy"), Miley Cyrus ("Wrecking Ball"), Pharrell Williams ("Happy") e Sia ("Chandelier").
Eminem e Iggy Azalea concorrem em sete categorias. Kanye West, Arcade Fire, Drake, Lorde, Arctic Monkeys, the Black Keys, Sia, Jack White, Ariana Grande, Charli XCX, Schoolboy Q, Disclosure, Angel Haze, Lana Del Rey, Gesaffelstein, MGMT, e Tyler, the Creator também estão disputando.
A festa voltará este ano a Los Angeles, após uma temporada em Nova Iorque. Muito popular entre o público jovem, o prémio será entregue a 24 de Agosto, véspera do prémio televisivo Emmy. Usher, Ariana Grande, e a banda pop australiana 5 Seconds of Summer são algumas das atracções já confirmadas.
